The 9th annual Tampa Bay Frogman Swim will be held on Jan21 2018. Registration, as always, opens Aug6 at 0700 EST in honor of Extortion 17.
Unlike 2016, we weren't slammed with 5 foot seas, a gale force wind warning and a small craft advisory. We actually had perfect weather... although we would have been okay if the water temps were slightly lower. Swimmers did have to fight a strong outgoing tide crossing the bay though. Weather is looking good for the 8th annual event! 170+ swimmer are registered to hit the water. Please support by donating in honor of a fallen warrior, or towards a swimmers fundraising efforts.
Join us at Pass a Grill Beach this Sunday, Oct30 at 9:30am for our first training swim of the year. Gulf water temps are down to 73 right now. We'll meet on the beach in front of the Hurricane restaurant and swim 1.5 miles...or more if you like!
Charity registration is now open! General registration will open Aug6 at 7am EST in honor of the Extortion 17 heroes. Remember, the event will fill in minutes!

Huge thanks to 3Daughters Brewery and I.C. Sharks Seafood Market for hosting our party last weekend. Lots of Tango Yankee beer, shrimp and fish spread were enjoyed by all. Our Frogman community is constantly growing and we're very lucky to have such an awesome core group of supporters including swimmers, sponsors and volunteers!!
The swim portion of the event was cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions which included a small craft advisory and a gale force winds advisory.
